Observing

Attending and observing the meetings of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is central to the mission of the CCCG.  THANK YOU for your participation!

If you know your schedule, it’s especially helpful if you sign up in advance on this observer sign-up form.  If you are not used to on-line signups, detailed instructions are below.  If your schedule allows, please sign up for times that are mostly empty, so we can have at least 2-3 observers at all times.  Consider signing up for a full day, the continuity is helpful.

Detailed information is available here: observer instructions.  Briefly:

BOCC meetings are generally held on Tuesdays beginning at 9 am and continuing into the afternoon, with a lunch break.  Meetings are held in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room on the second floor of the Courthouse building (109 West Main, Cortez).

When you attend, your task is simply to watch, listen, learn, and maybe take notes. If you want (and this is optional) to write about what you observe, we can post it here.  Just send it to us at CCCGMontezuma@gmail.com.  Suggestions for blogging are here blog instructions.
